John Barrett, CEO

Growing up in Southern California, John kindled his competitive and entrepreneurial spirit at a young age. He spent the last 35+ years challenging healthcare and has seen and participated in major change. In the mid-‘90s, John engaged with one of the first national Neuromuscular Worker’s Comp networks, leading to co-founding Med Advantage, a national Credentialing Verifications Organizations (CVO), and later creating CredNet, which initially focused on expedited and improved delivery methods of provider enrollment. John built this healthcare empire, all while competing in six full marathons, nine half triathlons and 14 full-length Ironman races, including the World Championship Half Ironman and, ultimately, the World Championship Ironman in Kona, Hawaii.

John’s insight help guild creating the first national credentialing data center with over 30 million datapoints, streamlining the verification process by integrating many of the then-siloed processes, reducing the redundancy and cutting out the administrative burden by automating many of the Primary Source Verification elements, reducing a 6 – 8 month process to generally less then 30 days. He improved and redesigned the software to restructure the relationships of the payors (insurance companies), the healthcare providers, and those that managed the process.
